Avelo Orders Up To 100 Embraer E195-e2 Aircraft

WASHINGTON D.C., USA – Avelo Airlines has signed a landmark agreement with Embraer for up to 100 E195-E2 aircraft, in a deal valued at US$4.4 billion at list price for the firm order. The transaction includes a firm commitment for 50 aircraft and purchase rights for 50 more, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.

The move marks a milestone for Embraer as Avelo becomes the first U.S. carrier to operate the E195-E2, Embraer’s largest and most advanced commercial aircraft.

Fleet modernization and network growth

The E195-E2s will modernize Avelo’s fleet, operating alongside its Boeing 737NGs, while enhancing cost efficiency, fuel performance, and network flexibility. Embraer’s proprietary Enhanced Takeoff System (E2TS) provides superior short-field performance, enabling Avelo to access constrained airports and expand into new markets, while also improving efficiency at existing destinations.
