Air Serbia Marks 10 Years Of Its Premium Lounge, Announces Major Upgrade At Belgrade Airport

Air Serbia is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Premium Lounge at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, a facility that has welcomed over 440,000 passengers since its opening in 2015. The lounge has become a key feature of the airline’s offering, providing business class passengers and eligible travellers with a refined and relaxing pre-flight experience.
Located between Terminals A4 and A5, the Premium Lounge has been praised for its elegant design, personalised service, and curated food and beverage selection. It has played a strategic role in enhancing the airline’s premium positioning, particularly for passengers departing from Belgrade or transiting through the Serbian capital.
“In our desire to offer passengers the ultimate travel experience, the Premium Lounge provides a high level of comfort, personalised service, and a carefully selected range of food and beverages in a sophisticated setting. We are proud that more than 440,000 passengers over the past decade have enjoyed our Premium Lounge, whether beginning their journey from Belgrade or waiting for connections to further destinations. Our goal is to make every journey special, from arrival at the airport to landing at the desired destination”, said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
Currently, access to the lounge is complimentary for business class travellers, while other passengers may purchase access either online or directly at the reception.

Looking ahead, Air Serbia has announced the development of a new Premium Lounge at Terminal C10 of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. The upcoming facility will span 630 square metres—double the size of the existing lounge – and will accommodate up to 160 guests. In addition to a larger and more comfortable environment, the new lounge will feature panoramic views of the airport runway, offering guests a more immersive and visually engaging airport experience.
The new lounge is part of Air Serbia’s continued investment in enhancing passenger experience and reflects growing expectations for premium airport services, particularly as the airline expands its international connectivity.
For travel and hospitality professionals, the expansion underscores a broader trend among full-service carriers to elevate their airport lounge infrastructure, in line with increased global competition and evolving passenger demands. The project is also aligned with broader upgrades at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, which is undergoing a phased transformation to support the region’s growing status as a transit hub in Southeast Europe.
The new lounge is expected to open soon, replacing the current one as the airline continues to strengthen its service offering in Belgrade.
