Shorthanded Warriors Can't Handle Timberwolves In Game 2 Blowout Loss, 117-93

With Steph Curry sidelined due to a hamstring injury, the Golden State Warriors couldn't afford many missteps in Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, an ice-cold start plagued the Warriors from the opening tip on Thursday night.
While the Warriors couldn't find the bottom of the net to start the game, the Timberwolves took advantage. After three minutes and a flurry of 3-pointers, the Timberwolves jumped to a 13-0 lead over the Warriors. With the Warriors struggling early, Steve Kerr emptied Golden State's bench, cycling through 14 different players in the first half of Game 2.
Despite scrambling through different lineups, the Warriors have no answer for the Timberwolves in the first half. After two quarters, the Warriors trailed by 17 points.
At the start of the third quarter, the Warriors showed their first signs of life. Backed by Jonathan Kuminga, the Warriors went on an early 16-6 run in the third quarter, cutting the Timberwolves' lead down to only seven points. Despite their run to start the third quarter, the Warriors couldn't capitalize.
Momentum swung back in favor of the Timberwolves as the Warriors posted six turnovers in the third quarter. After the Timberwolves stretched their lead back out to 20 points, they continued to coast to a 117-93 win in Game 2, evening the series at 1-1.
The duo of Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis provided bright spots for the Warriors off the bench. Kuminga got into a rhythm, scoring a team-high 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field with five rebounds and an assist in 26 minutes.
