Pope Leo Xiv Found On White Sox 2005 World Series Broadcast

A new Pope was selected on Thursday, with many around the world tuning in for the decision. Robert Prevost, now named Pope Leo XIV, was selected to take over, becoming the first-ever American-born Pope.
Naturally, social media was blooming with posts and questions about the new Pope. Some of these had to do with which sports teams he supported, especially being from the city of Chicago.
Upon first glance, many assumed that he was a fan of the Chicago Cubs. But through multiple sources, it was confirmed that the Chicago native was indeed a fan of the Chicago White Sox.
Now, fans have found an old broadcast from the 2005 World Series that directly shows Pope Leo XIV in the stands. The White Sox took on the Houston Astros in the 2005 World Series, ultimately winning the title that season.
But Pope Leo XIV can be seen standing at the game in the stands, watching his team. The video is from Game 1 of the series between the two teams.

Being a fan of the White Sox hasn't been for the faint of heart since 2005, as the team has been in a consistent decline. Chicago has only made the postseason three times since winning the World Series.

Maybe with this news about Pope Leo XIV being a big fan, the team can get some better luck as they try to rebuild.
