Warriors Predicted To Pair Bucks' $175 Million Superstar With Stephen Curry In Offseason Trade

It has been a great season thus far for the Golden State Warriors as they once again like a major championship threat.

Golden State was able to advance past the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs after dominating Game 7, setting up a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round.

Game 2 would not go Golden State’s way as Minnesota dominated their way past them to even the series up at a game apiece.

With the Warriors now without Curry until at least Game 6 due to his hamstring injury, their chances of advancing to the Western Conference Finals have taken a major hit.

Because of this, it may be another early playoff exit for Golden State, which could force them to make some major moves in the offseason to build around Curry.

Of course, the Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline this season, which turned their season around, but they could go after another superstar if he becomes available this summer.

That player is Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been on Golden State’s radar for the last few seasons.

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley recently released a mock trade that would land Giannis in Golden State while the Warriors would send Butler and two first-round picks to the Bucks.

While there is no doubt that a duo of Curry and Giannis would make the Warriors into a title contender next season, this trade is highly unlikely due to them signing Butler to a contract extension after acquiring him.

Milwaukee would also likely want more in return for Giannis as well and with the Warriors limited on tradeable assets, it would be hard for them to outbid other teams.

Despite this, the Warriors could be in on the Giannis sweepstakes this summer if he becomes available, especially if they are unable to make it out of the second round of the playoffs.
