Carson Beck Turns Heads With Throwing Video After Elbow Surgery

The Miami Hurricanes have been one of the most active teams in the transfer portal this offseason, landing some of the top available players, like DB Xavier Lucas and DL David Blay Jr. 

The biggest of all, though, was landing former Georgia Bulldogs QB Carson Beck, who was among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy a year ago. An elbow injury late in the season cut his year short of the College Football Playoff appearance, but instead of heading off to the NFL draft, Beck chose to enter the portal and join Miami. 

However, he wasn't fully available once he came to Coral Gables, still sidelined by his elbow surgery. Fortunately, Tuesday brought good news, with Beck being cleared for throwing at long last. 

Now, on Beck's social media pages, videos of him slinging the rock around have started to emerge, giving fans some confidence about where he is at physically, and what he will be able to do at Miami.

While it's just a short video featuring one throw, Beck appears to have a similar throwing motion to what fans have been used to over the years. There also appears to be quite a bit of zip on the ball from Beck. 

Of course, seeing one throw on social media is quite a bit different than seeing what Beck will look like in full uniform this fall. However, the Hurricanes appear to feel confident in his ability to lead them in 2025 and get them to the College Football Playoff when all is said and done.
