What To Do When Someone Won't Give Back Your Housekeys?

Card image cap

Location: Riverside, CA A month ago, I dropped my house keys in someone's car that I met through a dating app. The next day, I texted them if they have it. They said yes and they'd return them next week. They decided to ignore my pleas in returning them in a reasonable time. The following week, they texted to have sex. I ignored it. By this time, I brought 3 new keys for myself. Another 2-3 weeks goes by and after ignoring my other messages to return them when they had the time, they decided to message again for unprotected sex. I was livid since I felt it was a form of sexual exploitation meaning they wouldn't give back my keys if I didn't comply with their sexual attentions. I told them " after stealing me keys is crazy" they replied " bitch calm the fuck the down, no one stole your keys lmao" " imma break in". Fortunately this person doesn't have my house address, just knows the neighborhood I reside. However I have their address, and phone number. What would be a realistic solution? Requesting police to "keep the peace" would be a waist of time since they can just deny they still have it or they ever met me. Even with proof through messages, not much police can do. I'm a resident of Riverside, California and the person resides in Rialto California. I know I need to take accountability for meeting strangers online and it's the inherent risk. Any genuine advice would be appreciated.
