Uncles Handwritten Will (tx)

Card image cap

Location: Texas. My Uncle recently called me over to sign a Will that he had found a form for online. Initially there were three people on there but he took two of them off and left me as the executor and sole beneficiary. He and his son are estranged and none of us on my Uncles side has seen him in over 20 years. Uncle also has a sister that is very smart and has worked professionally in legal for a number of years. She is one of the people that he took off as executor due to what their ages would be if he dies naturally. My Uncle signed this will without two witness but had it notorized. My question is would this will be valid? What i am trying to avoid is anyone contesting and therefore creating a divide in the family. My Uncle isnt a rich man but i think it would be more about control and say so in terms of what happens to his land in the event of a sale and things like cremation that isnt listed but is what he wants. Would i be better off having him go to an attorney for this?
