Surgeon Removed My Breast Tissue Without Consent

Card image cap

Location: Lees summit Missouri

Naturally, my right breast is smaller than my left. I had an implant placed in 2016. March 1, 2024 my surgeon did a breast lift with implants (both sides) per his recommendation. Afterwards, my left breast was smaller & square. But he told me to give it time to heal, & that as the breast dropped it would round out. The squareness turned into a deep indentation under my breast. By Sept he agreed I needed a revision surgery which was done on 12/18/24. After, the problems still remained. The nurse showed me photos of the removed tissue which showed a huge chunk of breast tissue removed. The informed consent didn’t mention this being apart of a standard breast lift. The nurse admitted that was odd & mentioned they had been asking him to retire for years bc of these mistakes. She also said they don’t let their friends or family see him bc of this. I’m in nursing school & recently learned about informed consent. To my understanding, that should cover anything that may possibly happen during surgery and mine mentioned nothing about removing my breast tissue. He told me that this is just how my body’s healing He destroyed my natural breast. When I lift my arms, the implants fall further into my armpits. From the side profile, it looks like they both are sitting on a shelf of scar tissue, they have scars beyond the incisions, & I have no feeling in them From what I’ve read, removing my breast tissue will cause problems if I wanted to breast feed in the future. If I have the implants removed, I will have no breasts left.

Is there anything I can do about this legally? Honestly, I Just want my money back and to be compensated for corrective surgery. I saved a lot of money to have this done so I could finally have normal breasts
