Squatter In House

Location: NH USA Need advice. Sorry for the long post in advance. My ex and I broke up around 6 weeks ago and initially ended on good terms but he is becoming more and more hostile. I own the home and he pays rent (he has not payed these past two months.) We have lived there for a year. He has started making me feel unsafe in my home and has a ton of weapons along with serious mental health issues. Things took a turn for the worst the past few days when he found out I was on a dating sight and flipped out on me (mind you he was on it himself lol) he is supposed to close on a home at the end of the month, and I have been nice enough to let him stay until then but he keeps Pushing the date out more and more saying he wants to fix the place before moving in. I found out this morning he has been cheating on me for almost a year. I told him point blank he has to leave today and stay with a friend and he called the police on me to see what his rights are. They made him leave tonight and I am going to try and get a restraining order tomorrow morning. Is there anything else I can do to make him leave? He is refusing until his house is ready. I know the whole restraining order and eviction process takes a while and this is going to get worse.
