My Baby Daddy Said At Our Custody Hearing He Is Going To Require Himself And I Both Keep 2 Seperate Insurance Policies On Our Child? Thought This Was Illegal
LOCATION: Michigan I just got out of a domestic abuse relationship that I was in for years he has been making non stop threats since we split up and threatened to try to take her away from me and follow me to daycare and just take her until our custody. We were never married. The police have been involved.There's been a protection order put in and we have a hearing for that as well. He is a drug addict and does not have a safe environment for her. The only thing he does have going for him is he makes decent money, but it's gone in a couple days because of his drug habits. He tried filling for some sort of custody so we have court for that. I own my own home have a great job and great vehicle. He currently has her on his insurance. Before the police stopped him from contacting me he claimed when we go to court they are gonna make us both insure her. My open enrollment for work ends really soon. Do I really need to put her on the insurance? I thought it was illegal for somebody to be on two insurance policies?
