I Was Rear Ended By A Harley Well Making A Left Hand Turn With My Blinker On, And The Cops Gave Me A Failure To Signal/unsafe Turn Ticket...? ????

Location: Marquette County, Wisconsin

There is a lot more context i could add to this if you can prove you're a lawyer and wanna chat privately. ????

But yeah the title sums it up really. I live in wisconsin. The traffic statute code is 346.34. 1 count. It was turn off of a state highway 55 mile road. Very rural small town area, turning into the biggest employeer in the county, their public access road. I drive a 2018 Chevy equinox. No dash cameras. The person I was waiting for to make my turn was a truck pulling a small trailer, I chose to wait longer than normal because I noticed they were pulling a small trailer, didn't know if it was loaded and if it would affect their breaking ability so I didn't wanna pull anywhere near "infront" of them. Thats when I was struck from behind, I wasn't quite stopped in the road was rolling still waiting to complete my turn. An old couple was driving the truck, they saw it happen as they went by, stated to the police they "saw the guy go flying into the ditch, and they didn't see my blinker on." In the accident report. I believe they took the polices side because I didn't let the police bully me into not filming from where I could record everything that was being said by the guy that hit me on the Harley. (21 minutes of horizontal video dual camera directions from the second police showed up after I called them.) I have my suspicion the biker was under the influence, the cops didn't investigate anything like that. (It was 1:30 inl afternoon of the 3rd of July, people in wisconsin start partying early for just about everything) I am a very safe driver and always use my blinker, well ahead of 100 feet before a turn if possible. I was the idiot that didn't buy that Garmin Dash cameras I had in Amazon cart at the time, in time to prove it.

I gave my ID to the cops at the time, after all was said and done I left. My ID has my home address on it (of course, by law.) I don't have a physical mail box at my home, neither does most of my small town, its a known fact. Everyone has to buy a PO Box at the post office. The cops tried to send me a ticket 5 days after the accident to my home, not my PO box that they don't have the number for. They didn't send it certified mail, either. It got sent back to them. They tired send it again, it got sent back. Didn't attempt to send it again. (The issuing cops words, on video, a different video.) They held court for the ticket, court I was never legally informed of, said I plead no contest, and sent me a bill in the mail for $175 or so. THAT made it to my PO box, of course! I called, raised hell to no avail. Went down to the sheriff's office/court house, filed for a motion to reopen with the clerk of courts. (All on video)

This was all 2 months ago, and a month ago for the motion to reopen. I was granted the motion to reopen, I now have a meeting with the DA on MONDAY in his office for "intake" I'm not sure what that means.

I don't have a lawyer, I've got a decent suit, a 4k 30 FPS body worn camera, and a whole lot of balls to stand up for my rights/what's right.

My question is what the hell do I do from here when I see and meet the DA? Plead not guilty, lead it toward trial, hoping it gets dropped before it ever goes to trail? How do I fight this unjustified ticket smearing my good name? I know some but I'm no lawyer!

I wrote anxiety ridden panic. Sorry if its messy or any typos, I'm happy to try and clarify any question to clear up confusion of understanding. I'm dying to hear any advice anyone might have for me about a comparatively minor situation to others on this subreddit.

Thank you in advance!
