Florida Massage Board Questions

hi, i need some help. using a throwaway. i am trying to get my massage license back. in 2018, i made a mistake legally that caused me to lose my license. i’ve been reapplying in the hopes that i can get licensed again after the board held a hearing in 2021 that i was in good standing to apply again.

i applied only to be completely screwed over at every turn. first, they never applied my money so my background check didn’t get done. after tens of calls, i was told i was in “application limbo” and have needed to be handled manually. my application is 49 pages of ALL of my documentation, court records, a 2 page note from myself, and 5 letters of recommendation. after all of this, i get an email yesterday saying how i need to fill out ANOTHER application now which is 18 pages. i also was told the analyst never applied my test scores that i paid $40 to be sent over and added to my account. it feels like it’s just one thing after the other and im losing my patience.

i also saw an internal email added to my account where they were even unsure about approving my application because the hearing i had in 2021 apparently should not have made the decision to allow me to proceed with applying again. my record is sealed and i was told it was fine but it apparently needs to be expunged. i believe they think it was expunged? i’m not sure. but i’ve been honest about everything from the start and it has been one fumble after the next.

all of this seems to be just so much and i need to know what to do. i’m going to be obviously sending over the fees again (which i don’t even have the money for right now) and sending my application again as well, but like - does anyone have any light to shed on this? i’m going to be having a meeting with the board soon and i was thinking about having a lawyer present or something because this seems like too much for a singular individual to handle. please help if you can :(
