Family Member Is Missing. Spouse Of That Missing Person Won’t Talk.

My family and I have not heard from a family member of ours for almost a year and a half since we found out he was in the hospital due to a stroke. We only found out about the stroke because we reached out to his wife. Since then, we have not been able to contact either of them. We recently found out the son of this family member also has not seen or heard from him in at least a year, but was helping him post multiple strokes. One day he showed up to his father’s house to help out and the spouse was signing legal documents with a notary, but she refused to tell him what the documents were. Next thing he knows the house is sold, only finding that out from going to the house to help out his dad. Multiple people have tried to contact the family member and the spouse and it has been radio silence. At this point we have no idea this person is even still alive.

Any advice on next steps to take? At the very least there has to be something legal the son can do, right? Please help!
