Delivery Lost My Parcel Worth 5000rs

Card image cap

I placed a pickup (Location: Delhi ) for my order, which I wanted to send to my customer in , Punjab. On 22 September 2025, I initiated a pickup request, and the next day, the delivery boy picked it up from my house (I have CCTV footage as proof). The expected delivery date to the destination was 24 September, but it was not delivered. Then the delivery date was extended to 25 September, yet it wasn’t delivered on that day either. The same thing happened on the 26th, 27th, 28th, and so on but till date, it has still not been delivered.

Seeing this situation, I filed a complaint through their app, but no action was taken. The next day, I filed another complaint again, no action. Then I requested a callback, but no call was received. After that, I warned them that I would proceed legally, and only then did they call me. They assured me that they would talk to the logistics team and sort it out, asking me to wait for 72 hours. I waited patiently, but after the given time, there was still no update from their side.

Then, I again requested a callback no call on that day (9 October). The next morning (10 October), I received a call, and again they assured me, asking me to wait another 72 hours. But after just 10–12 hours, they marked my package as LOST! I mean, seriously it contained a personal item worth ₹5,000. I had declared its value as ₹1,500 only because I was afraid that this company (Delhivery) might steal my parcel and exactly what I feared has happened. I declared the value as ₹1,500, yet these thieves stole my parcel.

And now they’re telling me to settle this with compensation of just ₹700 plus shipping charges (as mentioned in their hidden T&Cs, which were never disclosed at the time of booking I had to dig deep to even find them). This is absolutely unacceptable and feels like daylight robbery. I paid this company (Delhivery) to deliver my parcel it was their responsibility to handle it properly.

Any lawyer here wo help me to send them a legal notice ?

tldr : I booked a pickup with Delhivery on 22 Sept 2025 to send a parcel worth ₹5,000 to Punjab. The parcel was picked up but never delivered, despite multiple extended delivery dates. I filed several complaints and callback requests, but no action was taken. After repeated assurances, Delhivery finally marked my parcel as lost and offered only ₹700 compensation, which is unacceptable. This is negligence and amounts to clear fraud .
