Can He Get Out Of This Marriage

Card image cap

My 27M cousin is married to a 29F demon. They dated for only two months before getting engaged and before they got married they were always fighting about stupid stuff. He is in the military in a different state from our family. My family told him to wait and have a long engagement but they didn’t want to wait. She has child from a previous relationship and he has agreed to help take care of the child. Ever since they got married her focus has been on spending time with her child and spoiling him with trips to different places and events every week. She refuses to work and expects my cousin to cover everything since he gets an increase in his salary for being married. While he was deployed out of the country she cheated on him and got pregnant. He forgave her and she raised the child with, you guessed it my cousins money. Now he has to move to another state and she is refusing to cause she wants to keep her kids in school and keep the same doctor/therapist etc. He has finally admitted that he’s ready to leave the marriage but is unsure of what she’ll try to do. He is in one state and she’s in another. Can he still file without her and could he possibly end up paying child support for the two kids that aren’t his? Does the military provide lawyers for their soldiers and would he need to speak to his commander about his situation? Any information would be appreciated. Location: Atlanta, Georgia
