Father In-law Threatened To Break Down Door If He's Not Allowed Inside. Stated He Is An Executor Of The Home And Is Within His Rights. Is This Legal?

My husband's dad purchased him a house, it was put in my husbands name. His dad's name is not on it. We live in said house. My husband thought his dad was being kind when he offered to continue to pay the yearly property taxes on it. My husband told me it was because he didn't want us to struggle while raising our kids, but after the first 2 years, I insisted on we start handling the property taxes. My husband told me no because his dad has it covered. Whatever, I let it go.
Years and some family drama later, I don't involve myself with most of my husband's family and stopped trying to see them. I never forced my husband or kids to stop seeing them, I simply ask if my husbands dad does come to visit, that it be while I'm at work or give me a good few days notice and I'll entertain myself in town with some me time. It's worked out so far until now. I was hospitalized for 5 days and now I'm currently at home recovering. My father in-law said he was making a visit, which my husband said he needs to reschedule because I'm home recovering. He got upset and claimed he will break down the door in necessary, but he is coming for a visit and doesn't care how I feel. He then stated it's his right because he is executor of the home since he purchased it and has been paying the property taxes. I know he can put a claim on the property since he has been paying it. I just don't know what to do. I don't like to be threatened and I'm too weak to be dealing with all this.

Does the executors have as much rights as the owner on the deed? If he puts a claim on the property, do we pay back all the taxes from the past 8 years? Is there a way to fight it? Since he made a violent threat to break our door down, is that enough to involve police now?
