BACKSTORY (not that important)

couple years ago i got locked up for possessing fentanyl pills. my dad had gotten sick really fast and diagnosed with stage 4 cancer when he finally went to doc , before he passed i was already using oxy, morphine, p 10’s and norcos, so once he was surely dying and dead i became an addict , really fucking fast and like many was told the m30 was real even tho i had doubts but just wanted anything .

Incident: i was locked up with my ex who was driving and got dui and i got caught with around 50-60 m30 fentanyl pills . The cops actually let me walk out after talking with them pleading with them that we were just junkies not selling shit , and that’s what i thought the end of that was for me, while my ex gf ended up with wet and reckless. So again i was locked up for possession of a bottle of xanax and this time i had to go to Na for the dismissal, but no mention from anyone about my FIRST arrest still being charged behind the scenes, i guess 2 years ago a WARRANT was put out for that first one, “possession / purchase for sale narcotic/ controlled” i got clean last year January me and my ex broke up , i relapsed last fall/winter (ex had a baby within 10 months of breaking) and got clean again this april this time for myself and not having anyone known i relapsed i feel this time is much easier and i want to fix this legal issue that honestly i feel i was done wrong because no officer / judge has mentioned to me i would have a warrant and all the consequences that follows (stuck at a shit job, can’t apply anywhere else) If anyone knows what i can do , if suggest i need to hire a lawyer or if a public defender will do. I also have talked to my counselor at my MAT clinic and he said they could write a letter to the court saying he been clean / send them my drug piss test.

Sorry for the long post just lost on what to do / how to approach
