(al) Urologist Performed Surgery Without Effective Anesthesia, Wouldn't Stop. Is This Malpractice?

Location: Alabama

I had a vasectomy performed about a month ago. I informed the urologist ahead of time that I am very difficult to numb, for instance, my dentist usually has to wait 15 minutes or so after the injections before he can work. I dont know what the physiology is, but its just how it is.

Anyway, I told him that so he was aware. He gave me the local injections (no kind of general whatsoever) and literally less than 60 seconds later he started cutting. I immediately told him I could feel everything he was doing. He kept asking where it hurt and I kept saying right where youre working. He would just say nay youre ok and ignore me. Within a few minutes he said "whoa there is alot of inflammation in here" and yet he kept going. Within 5 minutes of him starting I am soaked in sweat and begging him to stop. He didnt. He just kept saying "youre ok". I started hyperventilating and the nurse had to make him stop for a second before I passed out. Then, right back to it. From the first cut, to the final suture, I felt every single thing he did.

Now for the fun part...it's been about a month and I have serious ED issues. Prior to it, I had zero issues getting it up and keeping it up for as long as I wanted. Now, I have to seriously concentrate to get it up, yet it never gets as fully erect as before, and I have extreme difficulty keeping it up, even in the middle of sex. I'm sure the ED is psychological, at least I hope it is, but I dont know how to fix it.

My question here is: "is this a malpractice suit"? I feel mentally damaged from the procedure and I cant stop thinking about it. I still have issues with phantom pain and my heart starts racing if I think about it. I welcome any opinions and thank you.
