*update* To “my Neighbor Has 60+ Dogs And My County/state Won’t Do Anything About It..”

The situation is ongoing. My neighbor is still being allowed to keep all of his dogs. Everyone around here is backing him and lying to the police.

But it’s gotten racial. It’s probably always been racial tbh.

I’m a medium skin toned woman of color who had moved into a historically white backwoods location (I know, shame on me) but it happened and now my neighbors are making racist comments about us and are ganging together to support my neighbor (the man with 60+ dogs, whose also breaking the law and being allowed to somehow continue to break the law).

You can’t make this stuff up if you tried. My poor husband, who has never experienced racism before is irate. I told him before and I said again “this is why I never wanted to move to the south”.

I’m ok. I’m used to racists ????????‍♀️ what a world we live in, kids.

Anyway, told him that I believe pursuing a racist neighbor angle in our lawsuit or even in the news media would NOT work in our favor. And I believe that our neighbors would come at us and ofc adamantly deny that they’re racist. And possibly try to say that we’re making it up to ruin their name, or some sh*t racists have been using for decades to cover for their racism.

Anyway, sorry for the long explanation. I’m really wondering at this point if anyone has successfully integrated racism into a case and what kind of “evidence” would be needed. At this point it is truly ‘he said she said’.
