MONTREAL – Canadian travel tech firm Stay22 has reinforced its executive leadership team as it prepares for the next phase of rapid expansion and sector diversification. Following a record-breaking H1 2025, the company has announced the appointments of Malcolm Archer as Head of Supply and Geordie Kingsbury as Head of Sales, alongside the relocation to a larger headquarters in Montreal.

From January to June 2025, Stay22 achieved an 87% year-on-year increase in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), reaching USD 372 million with over 1.3 million transactions processed through its affiliate-powered software solutions. In parallel, the company has grown its workforce by 50%, with plans to exceed 100 employees by year-end.

As part of its leadership reshuffle, Malcolm Archer, who originally joined Stay22 in 2023 as Head of Sales, has been appointed to lead the Supply division. During his tenure in sales, Archer helped scale the company’s annual recurring revenue from USD 5 million to USD 40 million, doubling the size of the Commercial team and restructuring sales processes to drive long-term scalability.

“One of my goals at my new position is to build a new self-sufficient business unit at Stay22 that focuses on expanding our strategic partnerships and on improving the integration timeframe of our solutions” explains Malcolm Archer. “Additionally, we will work in diversifying our offering beyond accommodation to include retail and other sectors.”

Stepping into Archer’s former role, Geordie Kingsbury joins Stay22 as the new Head of Sales, bringing nearly 15 years of experience in commercial strategy, complex sales cycles, and data-driven business development.

“What excites me most about joining Stay22 is the chance to be part of a company that is just growing, as well as redefining what affiliate monetization can be. The team’s energy and ambition are contagious, and it is clear there is still so much potential ahead.” says Kingsbury. “In my new role, my focus will be on strengthening our relationships with partners, scaling a sales strategy that delivers measurable impact, and helping to unlock the next wave of growth for creators and publishers worldwide.”

With its strategic realignment and new talent, Stay22 is positioning itself to expand beyond travel verticals, with plans to extend its marketplace capabilities and affiliate solutions into retail and other adjacent sectors, opening up fresh revenue streams for both the company and its partner network.

Stay22 was founded in 2016 and is based in Montreal, Canada. The company uses artificial intelligence and innovative machine learning technology to connect online travel content creators such as bloggers and media publications seamlessly with the affiliate marketing programs of travel sellers. These mutually beneficial relations generate hard-to-reach, incremental and high-margin bookings for travel sellers like Booking and Expedia, whilst also allowing travel bloggers and media publications providers to monetize their content with minimal effort. In 2024, Stay22 reached a Gross Merchandise Value of $500 million and revenues of $25 millions, while it helped monetize 182,000 pages across the web, which got 1.5 billion views. Travellers booked one million trips with Stay22 to 226 countries and regions last year. The Canadian company currently has 4,485 active partners.
