WASHINGTON, D.C. – Method Co., the real estate management, development, and design firm behind the ROOST Apartment Hotel brand, has opened its first Washington, D.C. property. The new ROOST White House, located at 1425 New York Avenue NW within Accolade, a mixed-use development by Foulger Pratt, marks the eighth ROOST location in the U.S.

The ROOST concept, launched in 2014, bridges boutique hotel services with apartment-style living, catering to both short- and long-term stays. The new property introduces the brand’s design-forward approach to the nation’s capital, offering 35 fully furnished apartment hotel units across studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts.

Each unit is equipped with a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and curated furnishings designed by Method Studios. Interiors feature custom furniture, vintage Oushak rugs, and pieces from brands such as Audo Copenhagen, Gubi, and Room & Board, with lighting by Stone & Sawyer completing the aesthetic.

With ROOST White House, we’re offering a comfortable, design-friendly space ideal for longer stays, in a location that puts the city at our guests’ fingertips.”

Guests benefit from hotel-style services including a 24/7 concierge, complimentary bike share, and access to a modern fitness center with free weights, machines, stationary bikes, and a yoga studio. The property also offers two private meeting rooms.

Shared spaces include a rooftop with panoramic city views, communal lounges, fire pits, coworking areas, a wet bar, a catering kitchen, and a dog run. A 13-story atrium-style courtyard provides additional communal space suitable for both work and leisure.

Given the property’s premier location, we feel confident that there will be significant demand for this type of stay.” said Suzie Sabatier, Chief Operating Officer of Foulger Pratt. “Given Method Co.’s experience in hospitality, ROOST White House will bring an elevated level of service for both our residents and long term stay guests commensurate with the luxury expectations at the building.”

Situated in Washington, D.C.’s Central Business District, ROOST White House offers proximity to major landmarks such as the White House, National Mall, and Smithsonian museums, as well as government and business institutions.

The opening expands ROOST’s portfolio, which currently includes locations in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Tampa, Detroit, and Baltimore, with further openings planned in Austin and additional markets.
