Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel Announces Executive Leadership Team

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel has announced its executive leadership team ahead of the hotel’s much-anticipated opening late 2025. Omni Fort Lauderdale’s dynamic and accomplished group of hospitality professionals will be led by General Manager Gayle Guyse.

“We’ve gathered an incredibly talented and seasoned group of hospitality professionals here in Fort Lauderdale, most of whom come from within the Omni family,” Guyse said. “Each member brings not only talent and expertise, but a genuine passion for hospitality that will shape our guest experience from day one. This stellar team reflects Omni’s ‘Growing Our Garden’ philosophy, our brand’s commitment to developing talent from within while fostering a culture of growth and advancement.”

The Omni Fort Lauderdale Executive Leadership Team:

  • Gayla Guyse, General Manager: With over 25 years of sales, marketing and operational excellence at Omni, Guyse brings unmatched leadership and dedication to the new Fort Lauderdale property. She will spearhead the opening of the new-build hotel, guiding its launch while overseeing all operational departments to ensure seamless execution and success.
  • David Davila, Director of Rooms: Davila brings 13 years of deep understanding of guest service and operations, with 11 years dedicated to the renowned The Omni Grove Park Inn.
  • Ted Cushman, Director of Food & Beverage: Cushman joins from Omni Las Colinas with an extensive background in hospitality operations, having held multiple executive roles including Director of Rooms and Director of Food & Beverage. A Level 2 Certified Sommelier and Mixologist, he brings refined wine expertise, innovative beverage programming, and fine-dining experience in Michelin-rated restaurants and James Beard Award-recognized venues.
  • Howard Esquirol, Director of Finance: With 35 years in hospitality and a long history across Omni properties, Esquirol returns to the brand with a keen financial acumen to support the Fort Lauderdale team.
  • Pawel Dunin-Majchrowski, Director of Engineering: Dunin-Majchrowski brings nearly 40 years of hospitality experience, having been part of multiple hotel openings and major renovations, including the recent Omni Houston re-opening.
  • Sara Rojas Isaza, Director of Human Resources: Sara joins from Omni Nashville and is passionate about mentorship and team development, bringing over 15  years of HR experience and a strong commitment to cultivating Omni’s culture of excellence.
  • Andrew Stradtner, Director of Operations: Stradtner brings over 15 years of hospitality experience and leadership, rising through the ranks to his most recent role as Area Director of Rooms at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, which he helped to open in 2023. He looks forward to bringing that same level of excellence to the debut of Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel.
  • Aaron Weegar, Director of Sales & Marketing: Weegar is a seasoned sales leader with over 20 years in high-profile roles at luxury resorts, including the Diplomat Beach Resort and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. With more than a decade of experience working in Broward County, he brings deep regional expertise to the team. As the property’s first associate hire, he will lead all sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Latara Walker, Complex Director of Revenue Management: A hospitality veteran with 27 years of experience, Walker has been with Omni since 2007, driving record-breaking revenue strategies across multiple properties. She will lead revenue management efforts for Omni Fort Lauderdale.
