Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to expand its all-inclusive portfolio in the Dominican Republic with the opening of Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana in 2026. The adults-only resort will be managed by a Hyatt affiliate under an agreement with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L., the current owner of Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana.

The new-build property will feature 406 rooms, including Junior Suites, Master Suites, and Presidential Suites. Among these, 111 will be swim-out suites, and 13 will be high-level panoramic swim-out suites, designed to appeal to travelers seeking premium adults-only accommodations.

Dining and amenities

Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana will host nine restaurants and nine bars, offering a broad range of international dining and beverage options. A notable feature will be a farm-to-table restaurant integrated into the resort’s organic garden, highlighting sustainable gastronomy with dishes prepared from locally grown produce. An exclusive dining venue will be available to Preferred Club members, offering curated menus and elevated service.

The resort will also include three pools: a main pool with a beach club-inspired design, an activity pool with entertainment and ocean views, and a rooftop pool accessible to Preferred Club guests. Guests will also benefit from Unlimited-Luxury inclusions such as 24-hour room and concierge service, beach and pool service, premium spirits, daily activities, and evening entertainment.

The resort will be located next to the family-friendly Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, allowing free-flow access between the two properties. Guests will be able to use all restaurants and amenities across both resorts. In addition, the new property will feature a convention center with capacity for up to 1,000 guests, creating opportunities for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) in a beachfront setting.

The Dominican Republic remains a key destination for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, particularly in the luxury all-inclusive segment. The new resort follows the recent openings of Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Miches, along with expansion in La Romana with Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa and Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa. Further growth is planned with the opening of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana in late 2025.

“The Dominican Republic continues to be a priority destination for our guests seeking adults-only, all-inclusive luxury experiences, and our commitment to growing with intent remains prevalent in this highly coveted region,” said Fernando Fernandez, vice president, development, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt. “We’re thrilled to strengthen our relationship with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L. and bringing the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand to Macao Beach, recognized as one of the Caribbean’s top beaches by UNESCO.”

With its planned 2026 opening, Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana will further strengthen Hyatt’s position in the Dominican Republic’s competitive luxury all-inclusive market and add new capacity for both leisure and business travel segments.
