Property management software company Hospitable has launched the Hospitable Academy, a free worldwide education platform offering expert-led courses for short-term rental (STR) hosts and property managers. The initiative aims to support the professionalisation of the sector by providing structured training accessible to all, regardless of the tools or software they use.

As short-term rentals expand globally, hosts are expected to manage a wide range of tasks, from guest communication and daily operations to technology and growth strategies. The Academy has been created to help close this skills gap by equipping participants with the knowledge to increase revenue, improve guest experience, and scale operations.

The Academy’s debut course, “The Shift from Long-Term to Short-Term Rentals”, provides a six-chapter, 18-lesson roadmap for property owners seeking to transition into STRs. Covering areas such as market analysis, property selection, operations and portfolio growth, the program offers step-by-step strategies delivered in 30-minute sessions.

The course is led by Matthew Krueger, a short-term rental expert and cash flow coach who built a 13-property portfolio and retired before 30. Drawing on both personal and professional experience, Krueger shares proven methods for managing the opportunities and challenges of rental businesses.

Pierre‑Camille  Hamana, CEO  and  Founder of Hospitable, said: “Running a professional short-term rental today means wearing a lot of hats. Hosts and property managers are expected to handle everything from pricing and guest experience to operations and strategy, often independently and without formal training. Hospitable Academy is here to help make that challenge more manageable. It provides a clear starting point, features expert-led instruction, and is accessible to everyone. It’s a free tool designed to support hosts and property managers at any stage who want to grow confidently.”

The Academy is designed for both new entrants and experienced managers. While the first program focuses on shifting from long-term to short-term rentals, upcoming courses will cover listing optimisation across booking platforms and strategies for building direct bookings. New content will be released regularly as part of a long-term educational initiative.

With this launch, Hospitable expands its role beyond technology, aiming to provide both the digital tools and the educational support hosts need to operate more effectively. By combining software with training, the company signals a new standard in the support available to STR professionals as the industry continues to evolve.
