Ethiopian Aviation University Graduates Over A Thousand Aviation Professionals

The graduation ceremony took place at the university’s facility in the presence of Ethiopian Airlines Group Board Chairman His Excellency Let. Gen. Yilma Merdasa, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew, senior executives, and the families of the graduates.

Among the graduates were 524 cabin crew, 293 aircraft maintenance technicians, 214 trainees in Commercial and Ground Services, 41 pilots, and 8 Marshalling and Aerobridge Operators.

Congratulating the students, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew emphasized the broader impact of the achievement: “We are delighted to witness young men and women from across the globe completing one chapter and beginning another in their aviation career journey. This is not just a personal achievement to the trainees; it is an achievement to the industry in Africa and the world. Today’s graduates are tomorrow’s industry leaders, and we are proud to take part in shaping the future of our industry through shaping the people who will run it.”

The graduation also highlighted gender diversity within the institution, with 579 male and 474 female professionals among the graduates.

Ethiopian Aviation University continues to provide a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, offering degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Engineering, Aviation Management and Operations, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Data Science, and Aviation Management MBA.

Beyond degree programs, the university delivers diplomas and certificates in aircraft maintenance, pilot training, cabin crew, commercial training, leadership development, and catering, along with ICAO-certified and online courses.
