MIAMI – Avianca has announced the expansion of its Business Class Américas product, now available on more than 80 international routes operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. The service, designed to provide greater comfort, priority handling, and an enhanced onboard offering, continues to roll out across the Americas following strong passenger demand.

According to Avianca, more than 298,000 passengers have already flown using Business Class Américas since its introduction. Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca, highlighted the importance of customer response: “We have expanded this service to more routes, driven by the great reception from over 298,000 passengers who have flown in our Business Class Américas — one of the options we offer so everyone can choose how they prefer to travel – with the assurance of a safe, on-time service and luggage delivered to its destination, along with all the benefits this onboard experience provides. Today, more than 80 routes connect from Bogotá, Medellín, and San Salvador, and soon additional routes from Quito and Guayaquil will be added to elevate the way people fly across the Americas,” he said.

Expanded route network

From its hubs in Bogotá, Medellín, and San Salvador, Avianca now offers Business Class Américas to major cities across North, Central, and South America. Destinations include New York, Miami, Toronto, Mexico City, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima, Panama City, and many more.

Starting October 26, the service will extend from Bogotá to Monterrey. From November 1, Quito will see Business Class Américas flights to Buenos Aires, San José, and New York, while Guayaquil will add connections to Buenos Aires, Miami, and New York. Additional seasonal services will launch in December, including San Salvador – Orlando, San Salvador – Montreal, San Salvador – Chicago, San Salvador – Las Vegas, and Medellín – Orlando.

Onboard and ground experience

Business Class Américas passengers benefit from premium seating in the first three rows of the A320 fleet, offering extra legroom and recline, along with power outlets for electronic devices. The service includes meals and beverages, plus access to Avianca On Air, the airline’s streaming entertainment platform.

Fares cover one personal item, a carry-on bag of up to 10 kg, and two checked bags of up to 32 kg each. On the ground, travellers gain access to priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, as well as entry to Avianca Lounges. Passengers also earn 10 LifeMiles per US dollar spent.

The expansion reflects Avianca’s focus on enhancing its competitive positioning across the Americas, where business and leisure demand for flexible travel products remains strong. For travel trade professionals, the broad rollout of Business Class Américas signals increased opportunities for clients seeking a mid-range premium product, bridging the gap between traditional economy and long-haul business class services.

With further routes planned from Quito and Guayaquil, the airline aims to strengthen its regional network ahead of the busy year-end travel season.
