AJMAN, UAE – The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has announced the launch of a new roadshow in India, led by His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Department. The initiative, running from 15–19 September 2025, will showcase Ajman’s tourism potential to industry stakeholders across key Indian cities.

The roadshow will make stops in New Delhi (15 September), Pune (17 September), and Kolkata (19 September). Each stop will feature official meetings, networking events, and presentations highlighting Ajman’s attractions, tourism projects, and future plans.

Strengthening international partnerships

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, said: “Through this promotional roadshow, we seek to reaffirm our commitment to opening new opportunities for regional and international cooperation, while strengthening Ajman’s position as a leading tourist destination. This initiative aligns with Ajman’s continuous development in the tourism and leisure sectors, led by a comprehensive strategic vision to advance every aspect of the tourism industry, in line with the Government of Ajman’s goals and future plans.”

H.E. Alhashmi said: “In addition, we look forward to forging robust strategic ties with our key partners in the Indian tourism sector, further boosting opportunities for knowledge and expertise exchange, and unlocking new avenues for sustainable tourism and economic development in the emirate. These efforts will contribute to our mission to promote Ajman by highlighting its diverse landmarks, projects and cultural and tourist attractions that offer visitors unique and memorable experiences.”

Showcasing Ajman’s attractions

Ajman has positioned itself as a boutique tourism destination within the UAE, offering a blend of cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and modern hospitality. During the roadshow, ADTD will present updates on the emirate’s latest tourism projects, new attractions, and investment opportunities. The Department will also share best practices in destination management and explore future areas of collaboration with Indian partners.

The initiative is designed not only to promote Ajman as a destination but also to increase visitor arrivals, boost hotel revenues, and support the local economy by generating new job opportunities and attracting additional investment into the tourism sector.

Strategic objectives

According to ADTD, the roadshow seeks to achieve several long-term goals:

  • Enhance international awareness of Ajman as a distinct tourism destination within the UAE.
  • Strengthen partnerships with Indian and global tourism operators.
  • Drive visitor growth from India, one of the fastest-growing outbound travel markets in the world.
  • Expand tourism-related revenues, contributing to the emirate’s economic diversification strategy.

With India expected to remain one of the strongest outbound travel markets in Asia over the coming years, Ajman’s engagement reflects a timely effort to capture a greater share of this demand while positioning itself competitively within the wider Gulf tourism landscape.
