Who Were The Top Finishers In The Siac And Pac Girls Track & Field Championships Tuesday?

EVANSVILLE — The IHSAA track & field state tournament is right around the corner. But first, it's conference season.
Castle defended its Southern Indiana Athletic Conference title with a tense victory over Jasper in the girls championship on Tuesday, May 13 at Central High School. The Knights only won two individual events (Elsie Krodel in pole vault and Megan Cleveland in shot put) but was the runner-up in seven others.

The Wildcats were originally announced as the team champion, but a scoring error was found in the 400-meter race. It resulted in the following margin: Castle 128, Jasper 125. The Knights would have lost by two points had the error not be corrected.
