Patriots Confirm Jersey Numbers And Signings Of 16 Udfas

The New England Patriots officially announced the signings of 16 undrafted rookie free agents on Friday. They also revealed the jersey number for every player.

That news came on Day 1 of rookie minicamp, which is a weekend-long orientation for first-year players transitioning to the NFL.

It'll be a long summer for the Patriots' coaching staff when deciding on who stays and who goes. They had a massive draft class with 11 players taken off the board. Couple that with the 16 undrafted rookies and 14 tryout players and it's clear that tough decisions will have to be made.

Some of the names listed are long-shot hopefuls to make the final roster, but there are also some legitimate contenders for roster spots, including Larison, Conley, Chism and Dippre.

Perhaps there will be other surprises in store from what appears to be a solid group for the Patriots on paper.
