5:05pm ET: Alshon, Daescu battle past Ford, Trinh in three games
Christian Alshon/Andrei Daescu began their campaign in the Peach State with an 11-8, 9-11, 11-4 victory over No. 32 seeds Zane Ford/Tam Trinh.
The match was—somewhat unexpectedly—a tightly contested affair, with Ford and Trinh finding success with a more chaotic style of play.
It wasn’t enough in the end, though, as Alshon/Daescu comfortably took Game 3 after dropping the second.
“You’ve just gotta stay solid, trust your game, trust that you’re playing percentage pickleball, and that’s what we did,” Daescu said in the post-match interview. “It definitely wasn’t my best day playing out there level-wise, but Christian and I competed well together. We knew that as long as we stayed solid and put the ball in the right places, then things were gonna go our way.”
The No. 3 seeds will face No. 13 seeds Julian Arnold/Pat Smith in the Round of 16 on Thursday.
3:45pm ET: Parenteau, Rohrabacher victorious in first match together
Catherine Parenteau/Rachel Rohrabacher defeated No. 25 seeds Michelle Esquivel/Hannah Blatt 11-2, 11-4 in their first match together.
The two are joining forces this week in Atlanta after Anna Leigh Waters and Anna Bright decided to team up together for the first time since 2023.
Rohrabacher spoke about the change in partner and blocking out the noise from a very public breakup of the top two partnerships in women’s doubles.
“I think the best players deal with change really well, so it’s been an easy transition for us,” she said. “Catherine and Athena have been so welcoming and kind to me, so I’m just really excited and motivated to do well. The fans have been so supportive and so amazing to us, and we’re just really excited to play this week.”
Parenteau/Rohrabacher will face No. 16 seeds Angie Walker/Alex Walker on Thursday.
3:35pm ET: Smith and Devilliers, Jansen and Khlif advance in three games
The pairings of Callie Smith/Jay Devilliers and Lea Jansen/Noe Khlif advanced to the mixed doubles Round of 16 with three-game victories Wednesday afternoon.
Smith/Devilliers—the No. 16 seeds—completed a comeback against No. 18 seeds Allyce Jones/Travis Rettenmaier, eventually winning by a 6-11, 11-3, 11-5 score line.

Smith/Devilliers will face No. 2 seeds Jorja/JW Johnson on Thursday, while Jansen/Khlif will next face No. 4 seeds Etta Tuionetoa/Christian Alshon.
1:45pm ET: Devilliers outlasts Martinez Vich in three-game thriller
Jay Devilliers is into the men’s singles Round of 16 after a 5-11, 11-9, 13-11 victory over No. 5 seed Jaume Martinez Vich.
Things weren’t looking good for the No. 35 seed when he got down 0-6 in Game 2 after dropping the first, but he fought all the way back to steal that game and force a decider.
‘The Flying Frenchman’ also trailed 0-5 in Game 3, but he found another gear when players switched sides.
“I felt like there was one side that was better than the other, and I knew I was gonna finish on that side,” he explained. “I tried my best to keep it as close as possible on the other side. When I got it to 3-6, I knew I had a chance.”
Devilliers certainly made the most of that chance and eventually pulled out the victory after over an hour on court.
The 30-year-old says Wednesday’s triumph is a special one, considering his highly competitive history with Martinez Vich.
“I had match point against Jaume when we played in Bristol and Mesa, and I wasn’t able to close it out,” he shared. “I’m very, very happy with the win. This is only my fourth tournament of the year in singles, so I’m very happy with how I’m playing.”
Devilliers will face No. 11 seed Gabe Tardio on Thursday.
1:00pm ET: Game 3 comebacks propel Frazier, Crum to Round of 16
No. 9 seed Dylan Frazier and No. 65 seed Alexander Crum booked their spots in the men's singles Round of 16 with comeback victories on Wednesday.
Frazier did so by overcoming a 4-9 Game 3 deficit against No. 25 seed Donald Young, scoring the final seven points of the contest to advance.

Not to be outdone, Crum—who took down top-seeded Federico Staksrud in the Round of 64—overcame a 3-7 deficit against No. 27 seed Mota Alhouni in the deciding game.
Frazier will face either Cason Campbell or Jhonnatan Medina Alvarez on Thursday, while Crum will next take on Zane Navratil with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
12:00pm ET: Late run lifts Alshon over Arnold in marathon match
Christian Alshon survived an upset bid from Julian Arnold in the men’s singles Round of 32, coming away with a 12-14, 11-5, 11-9 victory.
The No. 7 seed jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the opening game, but Arnold raised his level significantly and stole it by a 14-12 score line.
That wouldn’t be the only comeback of the contest, however.
After Alshon took the second game, Arnold once again developed a big lead in Game 3. It looked like the No. 34 seed was well on his way to securing the upset when he got up 9-4, but Alshon went on to score the final seven points of the match to survive and advance to the Round of 16.
“Big shout out to Julian. I mean, he hit more passing shots against me than any other time I’ve played him,” Alshon said in the post-match interview. “I can’t believe I pulled that out. He was playing some really good pickleball. The number of full extension angle winners he hit was absurd, so it was really hard to mentally stay in it, but you’ve just gotta tell yourself that people are gonna hit good shots, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
Alshon will face No. 22 seed Adam Harvey on Thursday.
11:20am ET: Late run lifts Truluck over Schaefer
Liz Truluck is into the women's singles Round of 16 after a 10-12, 11-3, 11-9 victory over No. 12 sed Dominique Schaefer.
The No. 19 seed appeared to be in trouble when she trailed 2-6 in the deciding game, but she used a 7-1 run to help her eventually close out the match after over an hour on court.

Truluck will face No. 8 seed Salome Devidze on Thursday with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
10:50am ET: Waters, Fahey comfortably advance in women's singles
Anna Leigh Waters and Kate Fahey—the top two seeds in women's singles this week—both advanced to the Round of 16 with straight-game victories Wednesday morning.
Waters defeated No. 27 seed Lauren Stratman 11-2, 11-2, while Fahey dispatched No. 25 seed Samantha Parker by an 11-5, 11-1 score line.
Waters will face either Jorja Johnson or Mari Humberg on Thursday; either Danna Funaro or Angie Walker awaits Fahey.
