Jalon Walker Feared To Have Torn Acl, Carted Off Field At Falcons Training Camp
We’ve had more injury news regarding the Falcons than any of us cared to hear, and we just received the worst news yet. Jalon Walker was injured at practice on Tuesday and was carted off the field, as Kevin Knight reported from Flowery Branch.
Kevin said practice ended after the injury, while Tori McElhaney reports the entire team took a knee and Marc Raimondi indicates Walker did not have an air cast on.

Jeanna Kelley reports the team and Walker looked devastated, and there seems to be a good reason for that. Per Ian Rapoport and Steve Wyche, the fear is that Walker tore his ACL, which would obviously mean an end to his 2026 season before it ever began.
#Falcons promising edge Jalon Walker is feared to have torn his ACL, per me and @wyche89, a potential brutal injury for this defense.

Walker will have an MRI to confirm the injury from practice today, which drew an emotional reaction from his team. pic.twitter.com/Io6ldOVVeu
Walker was everyone’s favorite breakout candidate for 2026 and one of the team’s most essential defenders as a young, gifted pass rusher with the well-rounded skill set to play multiple positions when called upon and the chops to be an asset against the run and in coverage. Walker had 5.5 sacks last year in 15 games and nine starts, primarily working as an outside linebacker in Jeff Ulbrich’s defense and showing considerable promise along the way. He had, by all accounts, looked quite good in training camp up to this point too.
Building on a successful first year marred by injuries was the goal here, and it’s heartbreaking to contemplate the possibility that he may not get the shot to do so, both for him and for the Falcons.
ESPN reported earlier today that the Falcons were looking to add a pass rusher because of uncertainty regarding a possible suspension for James Pearce Jr., but if Walker is going to miss any time, it becomes an absolute imperative. We’ll hope and pray that Walker is okay and this isn’t a significant injury, but all we can do now is wait for an update. It does not sound positive thus far.
