Wife Arrested For Dv For Kicking Me.

Location: Monterey County, CA.

My Wife (35)and I (37) went out a few weekends back. We got into an argument while walking through a neighborhood towards a spot for our Uber to pick us up. The PD pulled up and said they got a call about DV. They put us in cuffs, separated us then asked us to explain the situation. The cops were cool enough with me but a cop came over and told the other officers that my Wife admitted to kicking me, so she was going to be arrested. I told them that she did not hit me at all. They checked my hands, legs and arms. There was no marks because we were just arguing. Nothing physical happened. We’ve been together since 05’ and have never had issues like this. We just had a bad night at the bar. Is there any way we can get the charges dropped? Can we make a deal for classes or something? My Wife is a professional in the medical field and this could be very bad for her career.

What should we expect? Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

Edit: She was booked and processed. We posted bail for her, the next day.
