Wedding Flower Preservationist Ghosting Me, Won’t Give Me My $1000+ Order

Location: Washington state

I got married in May of 2024. In March of 2024, I organized to have a local resin artist who specializes in florals to preserve my wedding flowers. I paid the entire invoice of over $1000 in full in June of 2024 via their business website, as the artist stated they would not start on the resin process until it was paid. I’m supposed to be getting a very large wall art piece, a ring holder, and a small round keychain. I drove and dropped my flowers off at her personal residence/studio more than an hour away from my house the day after my wedding, so I have her personal address and phone number.

Everything was fine up until February 18 of this year, where I asked for an update after 2 months of nothing, and was told my order is almost fully complete, should be done in 1-2 weeks, and I would be contacted again to show update photos of the completed pieces. They have not reached out to me since then. She was normally very responsive, getting back to me within no more than a week. I’ve emailed several times, once in April, a couple times in May, I’d texted about a week ago with no response to any messages, and no updates on my order via her website. It has been a full year since my project was started, and 4 months since my pieces were supposed to be "ready in 1-2 weeks".

I feel as though something happened to either her or my order and I’m unsure how to approach this since the onus of communication is on her if something did happen to it. The turnaround time according to her website is 4-6 months, and I was notified it would be delayed in October and December, but again, I was told in February my order worth over $1000 was nearly completed and have since been ghosted.

Should I allow for more opportunity for her to contact me? Am I allowed to show up to her home and request my flowers and vase back since they’re my personal property? Is it too soon to go to small claims court? I just want my flowers back :(

Edit: additional question: if I do end up going to small claims court, can I ask for my flowers back as part of damages or is small claims court only for monetary recuperation?
