Wage Deductions Exceeding Legal Limit

Location: ArIzona (Maricopa County)
I was on medical leave for the last six months. My boss filled out my timesheets incorrectly and paid vacation time to me (unlimited time off policy) that I was not eligible for under the policy. I had no idea that was happening, was not tracking my bank account, and I had no involvement with my timesheets.
The employer caught it several months later, and deducted $800 from my first check after returning to work without informing me. I know that's not legal, but I resolved it internally. They refunded that amount, and sent me a promissory note to sign to have $458 deducted over the next 10 paychecks. I signed it, under the assumption I had no recourse.
Today I learned that AZ limits garnishments to 10% of net pay. That would be about $180. My question is, do I have any legal recourse to lower these deductions to comply with the law, or am I boned because I signed the promissory note?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Edit: In case it wasn't clear, that would be $458 each check, $4,580 total.
