Unpaid Wages And Then Ex-boss Calls Cps On Me
Location: NYC so I acquired a job off of indeed I worked for 2 weeks and was told I was going to be paid the second week.
The second week comes I confirmed that I would be paid that day and the boss says she doesn’t know and directs me to the operation manager, he doesn’t know and directs me to hr where hr then takes 3 weeks to respond (in email) and only responded because I was calling the operation manager back to back, I had refused to come in due to lack of payment on the 3rd week.
After consistently trying to contact about my pay they say I am harassing them and have yet to tell me where my pay is then hang up on me. A week after this they stopped responding. After I made a report to the DOL and I posted on my story about what they did it kind of blew up.
They then proceeded to impersonate a legitimate law firm (I confirmed this) and send me a C&D portraying as the actual law firm. After the story of what happened blew up they then send a fake report to Child protective services.
What makes is worse is I got some really twisted CPS workers and they are already trying to throw words into my mouth and threatened to call 911 and take my baby. I had to call a family member to act like an attorney and then they backed off and left.
Please if anyone has some advice that would be appreciated. I’m already thinking about running away from all this, it’s so much stress.
