Trailer Park Management Forcing The Entire Park To Only Use Their Provided Isp, They Cut Lines To Mediacom Without Informing Me. What Can I Do About This?

Hi. On Tuesday, I woke up to no internet. For the past few months there has been talk of this new ISP company being offered to residents, called AccessParks. I sent an email to the park manager on March 28th, asking if Mediacom was being removed from the park. She stated "They are just wanting you to sign up for their internet through access parks. You are not required to and mediacom is NOT being remove from our community although those letters state so. It is completely up to you if you wish to keep mediacom or sign up for their service, or any other service for that matter. The letters were supposed to be edited before being sent out and it was not done unfortunately. I've just been telling people to just disregard the mailing unless you want to sign up for their services"

I did not receive any further communication from her. Access Parks continued to send dodgy letters in the mail stating that Mediacom was getting canceled. I had confirmed with Mediacom around the same time that I spoke to the park manager, and they confirmed that there is no disconnect notice, and no plan to be removed from the park.

Tuesday, Mediacom informed me that Access Parks had illegally tampered with Mediacom's infrastructure. They had taken the top of the pedastal off, and cut the 3 wires that connect to the "box" that have coaxial looking hookups. I'll figure out how to attach photos if that's allowed in the sub. The mediacom tech was being tailgated by an unmarked vehicle through the park, the vehicle did not have any company info on it, no actual license plate numbers, just an unknown dealership tag. That person was claiming to be representing Access Parks, showed the mediacom tech a paper, that was not a real legal document, and told mediacom that they're not allowed here. The mediacom tech did splice the wires back together, and fixed my connection, but it was only back on for 30-ish minutes before access parks snuck through my back yard and cut the lines again. The pedestal is now slanted, it was standing up straight before they cut wires a second time. This access parks rep told my mediacom tech that he would cut down "my" internet again if he fixed it.

I don't know the legality on this but i'm really frustrated. AccessParks sucks. I contacted my park manager yesterday and asked her what happened with mediacom "not getting removed" she told me that "mediacom would have to be the one to send you the official notice since you are their customer, and they failed to do so with all customers in the service area. they will tell you that now if you call in though a they have it all straightened out on their end of things. you were notified that it would be disconnected -- a flyer was placed at your home site on monday of this week letting you know mediacom was being disconnected beginning of tuesday morning and what your next steps were. you were also sent an email on 6/9 and 6/13 pertaining to the change taking effect this week"

Here's the thing. i never got any emails, i sent her pictures of every single email i got on those two dates, my boyfriends dad also did not get any emails and we are the only two who she has email contact with. Also, every piece of mail i got from access parks DID NOT have any kind of disconnect date for mediacom. The flyer on Monday said that service had already been cut, and "coaxial lines were replaced" The park manager has continued to gaslight me. She has told me I am allowed to have any other company, just not mediacom, but both her and access parks confirmed that there is an "exclusive deal" with the trailer park & access parks, so now they're the only ISP that services the area. My park manager told me that Mediacom was informed of the change on March 23rd. If both the park manager and mediacom were aware of this on March 23rd, then she lied to me when i asked her about mediacom being removed on the 28th of march.

The park manager is refusing to let mediacom into the park now, so they're apparently working on sending disconnect notices to customers to collect their modems and other equipment. it all feels very disorganized, and like they're illegally forcing mediacom out of the park.

I hate this new ISP so much. I didn't want to switch over, but i medically need a strong internet connection, so it was either sign up for access parks or be SOL.

i really miss mediacom. their techs were more friendly. the person who came and set up my internet yesterday kept leaving the door open and letting hot air inside. i have 3 cats, and im really glad that i had them all closed in a separate room otherwise i would have been a lot more upset.

is anyone able to provide any info on the legality of this and if there's anything i can do to fight to bring mediacom back to the park?
