This Scam Has A Refund Policy

Location: Michigan

I fell for a scam because I’m gullible. I have a meeting with the company on Tuesday. I just asked for a refund, but they probably won’t respond till the morning, if ever. I just want to know if, based on the terms and conditions, I should go the meeting or not. I think it might be a lose-lose situation, because if I skip the meeting, I’ve broken their rule on attending the meeting no matter what. But if I attend the meeting, they’re just going to accept me into their program. Here are what I believe to be the pertinent terms:

“REFUNDS: You are fully responsible for the total cost of all services and materials purchased, including but not limited the Interview Fee, Deferred Program Balance, and other costs you incur.

YOU AGREE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL REFUNDS BE ISSUED EXCEPT AS PROVIDED FOR BELOW.

This policy applies to any cancellations, including but not limited to withdrawal from the Program, failure to book your interview, or inability to attend the scheduled interview for any reason—including illness, emergencies, or scheduling conflicts, or the termination of this agreement.

By applying to or enrolling in the Program, you acknowledge and accept this strict no-refund policy, which constitutes a fundamental term of our agreement with you.

Refund Exceptions

A full refund of the amounts paid toward the Interview Fee and a complete waiver of the Deferred Program Balance will be granted under the following conditions:

a) If you are not accepted into the CSM Mentor Program.

b) CSM does not present you with an option or sale offer for your project within 12 months of your successful completion of the Program.

c) You have not breached any term or condition of this Agreement.”

Please no jokes at my expense. I already feel bad. I don’t wish to feel worse. If I’m not gonna get a refund, just say, “I’m sorry, you’re not getting a refund.”
