Think We Might Have Been Evicted Illegally; Need Some Help

Hi y’all, I’ve got a question. My fiancée, her mother and I got evicted from our apartment back in the middle of July. Our former landlord kept raising the rent, knowing that we couldn’t afford to pay it. When we ended up getting even more behind and they moved forward with the eviction, he showed up with a constable and told us we had 15 minutes to get what we could carry and get out, and we have been motel hopping ever since. The courts allowed us 14 days after the eviction to get out the rest of our belongings. The landlord only gave us 4. When we didn’t have the rest of our belongings out, they threw out or sold everything that was left. In the midst of everything, my fiancée lost her job and got in a car wreck, so she lost her car as well. We believe it was an illegal eviction, but we don’t know for sure and don’t know what course of action to take/what course of action we CAN take. Anyone have any thoughts and ideas?

Edit: wanted to clarify something. Yes, the eviction order in and of itself went through the proper channels. But the way it was executed by our landlord is what we believe was illegal. We were supposed to have received a month to gather together our belongings and find different housing arrangements from the time the judge found in favor of our landlord. Our landlord only gave us a week before he showed up with the constable to lock us out. After that, the courts had ordered that we be allowed 14 days to retrieve the rest of our belongings. Of those 14 days, our landlord only allowed us to come 4 days, and we have photo proof of him denying every day that we asked him to let us into the apartment to retrieve our belongings.
