Out Of State Inheritance Rights Issue

Location: Bay Area, CA Estate Location: Georgia
My grandmother passed away in 2021 in Georgia. In her will her assets were put into a trust dispersed to my uncle. When my uncle died in 2024, my grandmother's will stated that the remainder of her assets would be split equally between myself, his brother, and his close friend and executor.
It has been almost a year and a half since this process started. I contacted the executor to introduce myself but haven't heard back, but she has been in contact with my mother for the past 5 years at least because they were co-managing my uncles welfare while he was alive. Part of the process for the estate is the sale of my grandmother's house, but I have not seen the property listed.
As I have never been a beneficiary of a will, this whole situation has stirred up some questions for me and I wanted to check with the legal to see what needed to be done:
In the will, my last name is misspelled as but my mother provided information to the executor with my correct name. Will this correction suffice or do I need to take additional steps in this inheritance claim process?
Since the estate and executor are in Georgia, do I need to consult a Georgia attorney about this?
What is a reasonable timeline for estate dispersals and what do you recommend for next steps?
Thank you for your advice!
