Old And New Property Management Won’t Refund My Tenant’s Security Deposit
I rented my Florida condo for 2 years to a nice family, when they moved they complied with the security deposit to the association with a cashier check, now they left the condo and I have been trying to help them to recover the security deposit from the property management company that received it, since the association was going through a transition period when my tenant moved out the old property management told her she has to request the refund to the new property management however this new company keeps telling us they haven’t received any financial information from old management company so they cannot help and old management company said they do not manage the association anymore so they cannot provide any assistance. We, my old tenant and me fighting about it but no luck. I was thinking to give her the $ but then how can I fight about it with them to pay me back? Any suggestions? I don’t live in FL and my tenant lives far far away from both properties management offices. Location: NC
