Need Some Help!! Non-stop Harassment, Retaliation, Wage Theft, Fraudulent Employer Coming After Loyal Employee
I’m in California and need advice. I work as a logistic director for a mental health/SUD facility that’s 3 different companies owned by same people and run by an arrogant CEO that has weaseled his way into working remotely, he ran the company into the ground. HE does nothing buy pay for google ads, and picks up when the phone rings. he is also totally doing some money moving that is not Kosher. I also never had any intention of ever doing any of this I do not file complaints or sue. I’m extremely loyal and i was to thsi ownership as well. but after he tried to railroad me like a snake instead of just talking ot me like a man. I’m not keeping their secrets and serious violations quite.I have resources, wronged employees and even a DR. willing to show up for me.
I’ve been doing way more than my title for years—scheduling, crisis stuff, transports, maintenance, writing policies, even running multiple sober living houses with no real agreement or pay for all the on-call work. My pay is mid-20s and there’s been constant off-the-clock stuff because that’s just how they operate. A few weeks ago I finally asked for a raise that matched the workload and twana be burney madoff ceo and higher ups turned on me 3 days later istopped talking to me, ignored messages, systematically pulled my responsibilities, and then I saw job postings that basically match my job. Total freeze-out and it’s blatantly retaliatory. and their favorite “ we are deleting your position so were going to lay you off and heres some petty pay just sign this dnr and never sue me paper. Then unfortunately I got hurt working unpaid as usual forced me to file a workers comp complaint now there mad me hit my head, and since then they’ve been sketchy as hell about workers comp—mixed instructions, delays, asking for medical releases they shouldn’t need, misleading me with mallicious intent the process even though they know exactly how it works. and in cahoots with the adjuster. Now there going to close down the whole company i work for take my idea that i was told wasnt a good isea less then a year ago a and start a night outpatient. so my job wont exist Feels like they’re trying to avoid accepting the claim or use it against me somehow. On top of that staff reference and look at y old chart they shouldn’t even have access to, and I’ve seen peotons of hippa issues forging papers and documents, and labor law violations and wage theft no overtime pay misclassifying employees . Also i’m also still in the SLE on the beach. I want to leave but ive been told thats just giving them what they want and awarding their behavior. I also am coming up on my return date still havent seen a specialist because they said i had to wais for the adjuster to approve, which i found o way i get in to see one by the upcoming date, they have me completely off work. they also keep trying to trick me into signing that request for leave like im a moron like im going to sign that. they are really bad at this their retaliation and little tricks/ lies are so evident and documentable. I have a lot of evidence. These people has a pattern of doing this to employees who speak up about pay or workload, and I’m clearly thet target.
numerous lawyers are interested but they say theyll send a letter by may 2026 or they just negotiate through email and then take 40 percent (yes i know thats standard in the industry). I’ve met with one lawyers in person and he wouldnt give me any answers to these questions. I also am not just looking for legal for free legal advice. i would pay if need be. the big firms and a lot of them just concentrate on the missed/interrupted breaks. I understand thats easy and quick, but I have bigger issues. Should I file workers comp complaints and retaliation,*now*, or wait until I formally hire an attorney? Is there any downside to filing early? And what should I be doing immediately to protect myself right now while all this is happening? I already have all my evidence organized and saved.I also need a talented lawyer in Southern California, that is experienced and will go the distance.I’m not asking for any pro bono charity case.
I’m fairly new down here and dont have any real law connections except for way up north.but I I just need a litigator for the work retaliation, and also a workers comp lawyer. I have a detailed legal summary of events, timeline, pay stubs put together by an experienced paralegal, who will hold this family accountable instead of letting them keep screwing employees over. Or a site I can pay to get some legal advice at the. very least.Any advice or recommendations would help a ton.
