Need An Urgent Assist For My Mom

Location: Pennsylvania

My mom got remarried in 2010 much to our dismay. She has spent 15 years waiting on that “man” hand and foot. They live in Pennsylvania. My brother is still there and now that my mom’s husband has had a stroke my brother and I have been allowed back into her life.

They were married in 2010. That year he sold his entire farm to his daughter for $1. We only found this out a week ago. We only found out now because he isn’t recovering from the stroke so he will need in home care or to go into a home. Hence our concern.

His daughter doesn’t fall far from the evil tree. She only brought us in and told us what’s going on so we could take over with our mom. Her plan is to kick my mother out of the only home she has known for 15 years in as little as two weeks. She hasn’t said as much but I assure you that’s the plan.

Is this even legal? Should we consult someone or is it a waste of time?

We are desperately worried about our mom. She is showing early signs of dementia which adds complications as I imagine my brother will need power of attorney to help her deal with this. Please know, we knew he was evil. We didn’t know just how evil he really was.
