My Rapist Is Applying For Parole

I was sexually assaulted at 14 by a 26 year old stranger. He was sentenced to a maximum of 15 years and is coming up on his seventh year (which is the minimum) making him eligible for parole. I am 21 now and really struggling with the idea he has a possibility of being released. I sent in an impact statement, my family did as well, in hopes that it pulls some heart strings of the parole board. Does any have experience in this kind of situation? Should I expect him to be released? We live in the same city, leaving me uneasy and ready to up and leave if he gets out. I feel like he will want to harm me. I stated that I want a PPO and the maximum amount of security they can provide me. We all know at the end of the day that a PPO is just a piece of paper. This guy has a few trespassing and damage charges on his record prior to the assault. Ive never made a post on Reddit before. I really hope you guys can provide me with some insight.
