My Nurse Ex Physically Abused Me And Knowingly Gave Me Herpes. Can I Still Get Her License Revoked After 3 Years? (nyc)
3 years ago I dated an RN in NYC. She physically assaulted me multiple times and knowingly gave me herpes without telling me. I have video of her beating me and audio of her admitting she has herpes and spread it to multiple people without disclosing. I didn’t report it because I was in love and made excuses for her. Now I’m terrified thinking about her working with vulnerable patients.
If she could beat me and knowingly infect me with an incurable disease, what would she do to patients?
I want to report her to NY’s nursing board but: • It’s been 3 years • I never filed a police report • Criminal charges are probably past statute of limitations • I don’t have her license number, just her name Questions: 1. Does the 3-year gap kill my chances? 2. Is video + audio evidence enough without police reports? 3. Do nursing boards care about off-duty violence and knowingly spreading STDs? 4. What are my realistic odds here?
I have the evidence. I’m ready to file. I just need to know if it’s worth it or if I’m wasting my time. Any nurses or lawyers - be honest with me. Can this actually work?
