My Mom Still Threatening Cps And To Take Me To Court For Custody.

Hello, so my mom is STILL threatening to call cps on us. My brother said that they were talking last night and my mom said “she’s not leaving here and neither are those kids, and if she tries I will take them to court for custody.” I have a lot, A LOT of anxiety and fear when it comes to my kids.

Before we moved, our kids were living in pretty bad conditions for a while, and I was so ready to get out of there so none of us had to anymore. There were dirty diapers everywhere, food mess, mice coming in and out of the trailer, ants, etc. it was VERY bad, for all of us, and I know this. I was so stressed out about ours and our kids living conditions, it really messed with my OCD and anxiety. Even though I didn’t want us or our kids living that way, I couldn’t bring myself to deep clean. My mom has pictures of their old living conditions.

We moved into the new house about three months ago. We pay all the bills, we’ve been doing all the house work pretty much, everyone’s laundry, everyone’s dishes, EVERYTHING in this house has been being done by us. Pantry and fridge are full of food, all rooms of this house are clean, my husband and I both have been doing the absolute best we can do by our kids. The kids have a bath at least every other night, etc.

My mom and dad work 5-7 days a week. My mom just said the other day “if I take my 2 days off, is your husband gonna pay for all the animal food and everything else? I won’t be able to afford it.” Because I am also caring for her dog, and told her “if you don’t wanna get rid of this dog, I need you to AT LEAST take your 2 days off like you’re suppose to.” She can’t even care for a puppy, and my dad refuses to help with my brother being here and not working.

If we try to leave, when we are ready, what should we expect? If my mom and dad refuse to let us leave and call cps and try to start a court case for custody, is there any way we are losing our kids? Location: Kentucky.
