My Husband's Identity Was Stolen, And Now He Has A Warrant

Location: Burnet Texas
We have recently discovered that My husband has a warrant for "expired registration" from March 2023 in Burnet Texas. He has never been to Burnet. While he did live in eastern Texas several years ago, He was not in Texas at the time. He was at our home in Alabama, over 12 hours away. We found this out after he googled himself while waiting on a background check from a new job. At the moment, we live in South Carolina. Today was a preliminary hearing via zoom, They showed a portion of the dashcam video, in which you can see a face for just a few frames before it is covered up. the vehicle in the stop is completely unfamiliar to us. The prosecutor proclaimed that the person in the video looks and sounds just like him and called him a liar. I was not present during the video, but my husband said that there was no way the guy looked like him, and the court microphones did not pick up any sound from the video. I was able to speak to the clerk at the end of the call and basically had to beg them to send us any documents they have. I was informed by a Burnet cop that they couldn't release the dashcam video to us for "privacy reasons". I requested a copy of the original citation, and any paperwork the county clerk sent out to the address provided. I'm assuming they sent out a "hey you didnt pay your fine or come in" letter at some point
