My Fiance And I Split And We Own A Home Together... Is A Quit Claim Deed Sufficient For Transferring Ownership?

Hello and thank you in advance for any insights you can provide,

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.

My fiance and I purchased a home together in Ohio and we have decided to go our separate ways. Everything is amicable at this time and I don't anticipate that changing (although stranger things have happened). My fiance has already moved out as the home loan is solely in my name (better interest rate) and she has been 100% agreeable to transferring ownership of the home to me. I plan on 'buying out' her ownership by paying her back her half of the down payment that she provided when we purchased the home (plus or minus some other expenses/factors). She is also in full agreement to that.

My question is, are quit claim deeds appropriate in this situation to transfer full ownership to me or should I/we utilize a lawyer to complete this process?

Completing the quit claim deed transfer at the time that I provide her 'buy out' funds with a notary would be ideal, as it is quick, simple, and minimal/no cost. However, I don't want to leave myself open to any potential down the road issues should she decide to challenge the transfer/ownership or anything in the future. This is unlikely, but again, want to be sure.

Thank you again for your insights... times are a bit hectic and your help will be appreciated more than you know.
