My Business Was Added To Doordash’s Website Without My Authorization, And I Was Not Informed Of This Action.

I run a small but relatively successful takeaway business in Australia, offering both pick-up and delivery services. Over the past month or so, I noticed DoorDash drivers coming into my shop and collecting food for customers. Upon investigating, I discovered that my menu, incorrectly listing items and prices had been added to DoorDash’s platform without my knowledge. I contacted DoorDash to understand how this had occurred and requested that my business be removed.

I was informed that this listing had been added automatically and that I had neither been asked for permission nor notified beforehand. I insisted that my business be removed immediately, and they agreed.

However, about a week later, DoorDash drivers were still arriving at my shop, increasingly frequently. When I called again, they attempted to argue that they were doing me a favor and urged me to remain on their platform. I explained that this arrangement was causing me a financial loss, as customers were paying DoorDash for delivery instead of paying my own delivery staff. Despite their pleas, I refused, and my business has only been temporarily removed from their website for two weeks.

Am I entitled to any form of compensation? I feel that my business has been exploited, and I do not want another company profiting from my success. Location: Australia
