My 73 Y.o. Mother Fell For An Online Scam; Is It Over And Done With?

Location: Northern Illinois. Three days ago my mother, who is 73, fell for some AI video on Facebook about a business opportunity having something to do with online seller/drop shipping classes or services. She spent about an hour on the phone with these people (whom she reported were extremely friendly, talked about their kids and pets, etc. You get the picture). She ended up signing up for their NINE THOUSAND dollar membership package. She called me to tell me about it and I flipped out…went online and found several Reddit posts about this scam company that has drained the elderly for their life savings time and time agian. I immediately called her and explained the situation. Luckily, she used a credit card and was able to stop payment in time. The charge was reversed, and I thought crisis was averted. Then she told me yesterday that she also gave them her social security number. So, I told her to freeze her credit with all three bureaus immediately, which she did. Even after 24 hours, there were several new credit inquiries on her report. Im not sure exactly what that means, but I have to assume it was an attempt at identity fraud. She was (and sort of is) hell-bent on getting back at this company. Ive advised her to just cut her losses (which luckily are not financial at this point) and chalk it up to a very good lesson learned. As of today, they are calling her non-stop. Phone calls every 15-30 minutes. She told me today that she signed a bunch of digital documents during the sign-up process and she’s nervous that she may be on some form of financial hook because of this. She does not know if she should hire a lawyer. She did make a police report with her local department the day of. Does she have anything to worry about at this point? Can they come after her for anything or should she just block the numbers and move on? And before you ask, we are in conversation about setting up a conservatorship based on what happened. She got away by the skin of her teeth…I just want to make sure she’s not at any more risk at this point. I appreciate any suggestions.
TL; DR: Mom fell for an online scam. Trying to ensure crisis is indeed averted
